Red Creek Day 25 - Before the Storm

I have traveled Red Creek in all four seasons and all types of weather, and I have always found something different and something beautiful. On this day, we were paddling quickly to get to the boat ramp before the skies fell. Even though everything was dark, I asked Mark to stop so I could take some photos. The clouds parted over the sand bank, and the sky was blue ahead. There was a light in the darkness. Floating the creek, takes you away from every day distractions. It gives you time to think and reflect. The creek is a lot like life. Most of the times it's clear and runs smoothly. Sometimes when things get hot, it slows down and becomes more difficult to navigate, and then there are days when its dark. The storm comes, it overflows, and everything is muddy. A few days later, the sun shines and everything settles.

  1. Awesome job with the light, C! In this one and the one for the 2nd. Do you feel like you're growing?

    1. I'm growing tired. It has been challenging, but It has been a great experience. I feel like I have accomplished my task. My goal was to paint on a daily basis and grow my social media skills. I will continue to challenge myself in both areas, but it's time to slow down, reflect, and catch up on a few other things. There are things I like and dislike in each painting. I'm going to take a little time to study and decide my next direction. Thank you for sharing the journey.
