When we canoe, I'm always looking for something new - a flower, plant, tree or just changes in the water, sand, or land formations, and I'm never disappointed. Around July, one of the first things to greet us is the Morning Glory (Ipomoea trichocarpa). This light violet, funnel-shaped flower is found at almost every boat launch along the creek.
