Red Creek Day 64 - The Old and the New

It's quite obvious that I enjoy painting the bridges of Red Creek. There's something about the nature versus man that I really find enjoyable. You have the great organic shapes found in the sky, trees, water, and sand that I find fun to paint. Then you have the man-made, hard edge lines and shapes of the bridge that slows me down and makes me focus. I love the contrast. Speaking of contrast, Mark titled this one - The Old and the New. We both find it humorous that they would spend so much time building new supports for the bridge and then place the old iron bridge on top of the new structure.
